The Lord Commissions Joshua

1:1 After Moses the Lord’s servant died, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant:

Yosua 4:24

4:24 He has done this so ¹  all the nations ²  of the earth might recognize the Lord’s power ³  and so you might always obey ⁴  the Lord your God.”

Yosua 20:6

20:6 He must remain ⁵  in that city until his case is decided by the assembly ⁶  and the high priest dies. ⁷  Then the one who committed manslaughter may return home to the city from which he escaped.” ⁸ 

Yosua 23:14

23:14 “Look, today I am about to die. ⁹  You know with all your heart and being ¹⁰  that not even one of all the faithful promises the Lord your God made to you is left unfulfilled; every one was realized – not one promise is unfulfilled! ¹¹

[20:6]  ⁷ tn Heb “until the death of the high priest who is in those days.”

[20:6]  ⁸ tn Heb “may return and enter his city and his house, the city from which he escaped.”

[23:14]  ⁹ tn Heb “go the way of all the earth.”

[23:14]  ¹⁰ tn Or “soul.”

[23:14]  ¹¹ tn Heb “one word from all these words which the Lord your God spoke to you has not fallen, the whole has come to pass for you, one word from it has not fallen.”
